Transition coaching
Neurodivergent transition coaching
I am Stella, an ICF Professional Certified Coach in Berlin. My work is transition coaching: career change, relocation, the move from study into work, and the identity shifts that come with them. This page is for the neurodivergent people I work with, including ADHD, autistic and AuDHD adults, who are moving through one of those changes and finding that the usual advice does not fit them.
I was diagnosed with AuDHD at 23. That is not the reason I coach, but it is the reason I recognise certain things quickly: the exhaustion that comes from masking all day, the shame of owning six planners you have never sustained, the particular loneliness of being told you are capable while quietly struggling with things that look simple from outside.
Who this is for
You do not need a formal diagnosis to work with me. Self-identified is welcome, and so is still-figuring-it-out. People usually come to me around one of these:
- Career transitions. Leaving a role that was never built for how you work, without burning down the rest of your life.
- Executive function. Starting, switching, finishing. Building structure that survives contact with a real week.
- Masking and burnout. Recovering from the cost of performing normal, and finding a pace you can actually hold.
- Identity after a late diagnosis. Reinterpreting your own history when the explanation arrives at 27, or 34, or 41.
- Relocation and cross-cultural change. Rebuilding routine and belonging in a new country, which is harder when your baseline was already effortful.
What neuro-affirming actually means here
It means I do not treat how your brain works as a defect to be corrected. We are not trying to make you into a neurotypical person with better habits.
In practice: we build systems around your actual attention and energy rather than a productivity template you will abandon in a week. We look at what your environment is demanding of you, not just what you are failing to deliver. We take sensory load, rest, and recovery seriously as inputs rather than luxuries. And we spend less time on motivation, which is rarely the missing piece, and more on clarity, structure, and reducing friction.
My background is in cognitive science at UCLA, so this is grounded in how attention, motivation and stress actually operate, not in willpower.
Being clear about scope
This is coaching, not therapy and not clinical care. I do not diagnose, and I do not treat mental health conditions. What I offer is reflection, structure and practical support for the life you are building. If something belongs with a therapist or a clinician, I will say so.
Practical details
Sessions are online, worldwide, over Google Meet or Zoom. I am based in Berlin and coach in English and Mandarin, both native. Everything starts with a 30-minute first consultation, and if we are not the right fit I will tell you.
This is one doorway into the same work. Whether or not neurodivergence is part of your picture, if you are standing in the middle of a change that has not resolved yet, that is what I coach. You can also see the full practice →
