Transition Coaching

Some changes happen overnight.
Becoming the person who can live them takes longer.

I'm Stella, an ICF Professional Certified Coach. I work with people in the middle of a change that hasn't resolved yet: a career you're outgrowing, a move to a new country, the jump from study into work, or a shift in who you're becoming. Together we turn that overwhelm into a clear, workable next step.

The story

Why transitions

I have spent my life crossing thresholds: between countries, languages, and disciplines. I studied Cognitive Science and Actuarial Mathematics at UCLA, worked in product at Stripe, Google, and a growth-stage startup, and rebuilt my life in new cities more than once. Every time, the hard part was the same. It was rarely the logistics. It was the quiet internal reorganisation that nobody else sees.

I know that from the inside too. I was diagnosed with AuDHD at 23, so I understand what it feels like to be out of step with the standard script for how a career or a life is supposed to go. That shapes how I coach: less pressure to fit a template, more attention to how you actually think, work, and recover.

I am building my coaching practice alongside an MBA at IESE, and I keep it deliberately focused. I work with a small number of clients at a time, each of them somewhere in the middle of a transition: leaving something, arriving somewhere, or standing in the uncertain space between.

The mindset

How I work

Not a template to force yourself into, and not just a space to vent. We work with how your attention, energy, and stress actually behave, and with what the change is really asking of you. Reflective and practical, clearly coaching, not therapy.

01

Name it before you fix it

We slow the noise down and get specific: the decision in front of you, the fear underneath it, the constraints that are actually real. Clarity comes first, so you stop reacting to everything at once.

02

Systems built around your brain

We design routines that match how your attention and energy really work, not a productivity template you will abandon in a week. Less self-blame, more traction.

03

A steady place to think out loud

Change is vulnerable. I hold a calm, non-judgemental space where you can be honest about the messy parts and test ideas before you commit to them.

04

Informed by cognitive science

My background is in how attention, motivation, and stress actually operate. We work with those mechanics instead of pushing through on willpower alone.

Who I work with

The transitions I coach

If you are standing at an edge and the ground feels uncertain, this is the work.

  • Career pivots. Changing fields, or stepping off a track that no longer fits, without blowing up your life to do it.
  • Relocation and cross-cultural moves. Rebuilding routine, community, and a sense of self in a new country.
  • Study into work. Graduating, starting a first role, or coming back after time away.
  • Identity shifts. When who you are becoming has outgrown the story you keep telling about yourself.
  • Burnout and recovery. Finding your way back from depletion and setting a pace you can actually sustain.
  • Confidence and direction. Turning "I don't know where to start" into a specific first move.

The background

What my background gives you

The credentials matter less than what they let me do for you.

Cognitive science

We work with your wiring, not against it

My UCLA degree was in how attention, motivation, and stress actually operate. So we build around how your mind really works, instead of forcing a template that was never made for it.

Ex Google & Stripe

Fluent in your world

Years in product at Stripe, Google, and a growth-stage startup mean I understand high-performing, fast-moving careers from the inside, including the quiet pressure that comes with them.

Between things

A transition is the space between who you were and who you are becoming. Where you feel most stuck, a new path can grow.

On the painting

Inspired by Plato's idea of humans as beings split in half, forever seeking their other halves, this piece explores gender fluidity and the spectrum of human qualities. The blurred, merging forms stand for the fluid nature of identity and the search for self-completion through connection. To me, exploring our relationships mirrors the inner journey toward a more fluid and complete self.

What you can expect

How I show up for you

I keep this practice small and take a few clients at a time. Here is what I promise each of them.

  • You leave with something concrete. A next step, a reframe, or language for what you are going through, not just a good conversation.
  • I will not rush you. We move at the pace the change actually needs, not the pace that looks productive.
  • No judgement about the messy parts. You can think out loud, contradict yourself, and be honest about what is not working.
  • We build around how your mind actually works. Not a template you will abandon in a week.
  • I stay clear about scope. Coaching, reflection, and structure, not therapy, and I will say so if something belongs elsewhere.
  • If we are not the right fit, I will tell you. The first consultation is partly about finding that out together.
